There are 24 employees assigned to the Town of Mooresville Sanitation Department.  The Solid Waste Department provides collection, removal, and disposal of solid Waste for the residents of Mooresville.  The automated collection of household solid waste is done in four areas of Mooresville, based on the collection day. There are around 15,000 customers on the residential routes. Sanitation is serviced weekly while recycling is serviced bi-weekly.
