Area Wide Optimization Program Award for Water Treatment Plant 2 – (7 consecutive years) - The AWOP Award is granted through a joint venture between the EPA and North Carolina and recognizes water systems that consistently and significantly exceed mandated water quality standards.

CALEA Certified (Third award for reaccreditation) - The Law Enforcement Accreditation Program is comprised of selected standards taken from the full complement of standards in the Advanced Law Enforcement Accreditation Program. The agency shows annual compliance to CALEA and is awarded re-accreditation every 4 years. This accreditation is the Gold Standard for Public Safety Agencies.
