Cornelius Road Park

247 Cornelius Road, Mooresville, NC 28117

This 79-acre community park located on the northwest side of town opened in 2012.  The popular two-acre dog park includes three sections that rotate their use by season to sustain the dog park’s turf.  The dog park is named after Mooresville Police Officer Jordan H. Sheldon who was killed in the line of duty in 2019.   Large-scale athletic tournaments at the local and regional levels bring thousands of people to the park and serve as an important economic development contributor to the town.
