Stars and Stripes on Main Parade Presented by Lowe's!
This special Sesquicentennial event is one of this year’s seven signature events in honor of Mooresville’s 150th Anniversary. Be a part of history and show your hometown pride while participating in this imaginative display of patriotic floats, performers and community groups! The parade begins at 10 a.m. on July 4, 2023 on Main Street in Downtown Mooresville.

Parade Application

Interested in being part of the parade? Please read the rules, regulations, and insurance guidelines prior to completing the application. Interested parties must complete an application and a detailed description of their entry by Friday, May 26, 2023, to Amy Sherrill at Participation is by acceptance of the parade committee, not all applicants may be accepted. Confirmations will be sent via email by Friday, June 2, 2023. Payment will be due within 14 days of notification (June 9, 2023).

Community Pride Section (Families/Individuals)
The Town of Mooresville invites community members with red, white and blue decorated bicycles, wagons, strollers, skateboards, non-motorized scooters, roller skates, etc. to participate in this section of the parade by signing up via this link. Participation in this section is subject to a limited number of spots and is on a first-come, first-served basis, so sign up now!

Rental Floats
Rental floats will be offered by the Parade Committee, available on a first-come, first-served basis and must be rented through the Parade Committee. The cost of the rental float is $600. This cost includes a vehicle and driver to pull the float. Float will arrive at least 2 hours prior to parade start time.

This is an easy, show up, hop on-and-ride option to join the parade and promote your business or organization. Rental floats can be customized by adding a banner and/or other props related to your business/organization and should be provided by the renter and installed the day of the parade. A specific number of individuals are allowed to ride on the float during the parade. Float capacity varies by float and will be communicated at the time of reservation.
