Town cancels afterschool programming as COVID-19 precaution

As COVID-19 (Coronavirus) increasingly impacts the country, the Town of Mooresville is continuing to follow the recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services.

In an effort to ensure the safety both of the children who use our facilities and our Parks and Recreation staff, and in conjunction with the recent decision made by the local school districts to close, the Town of Mooresville will be cancelling afterschool childcare until further notice. This includes the programs scheduled at the War Memorial, Winnie Hooper and Selma Burke Recreation Centers.

The Town will continue to monitor the decisions made by health authorities and the school districts, and will re-evaluate this decision accordingly. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
