West Side Lockers
For your convenience Library material pick-up/drop off is now available at the Lowes YMCA, 170 Joe Knox Ave. in Mooresville. When requesting items by phone, ask that they be sent to the West Side Lockers, and they will be sent to that location for pick-up when available.
- To place your holds online for pick-up at West Side lockers:
- Go to www.mooresvillelibrary.org and login using your library card and PIN number.
- Select an item to request and click on “Place Hold”.
- Choose “Mooresville Public Library-West Side Lockers” as your pick-up location and “Place Hold”.
- To pick up items:
- You will receive email or phone notification when your items are waiting for you at the YMCA.
- Once at the smart locker, scan your library card or enter your library card number, then follow the prompts on the screen. When your locker opens, your items are automatically checked out to you.
- To return items:
Follow the prompts on the screen and place items to be returned in the return slot. If full, please do not force items inside or leave outside.
Services and materials are available for individuals with physical handicaps for FREE by contacting the reference desk or Ask a Librarian. These materials will be directly sent to the patrons.
Book Clubs at the Library
The Library sponsors several adult book clubs that meet in the Selma Burke Room once a month. Selections vary and often included both fiction and non-fiction titles. If interested, please submit a request to Ask a Librarian.
Book Clubs in the Community
The Library maintains a collection of books that can be used for reading material for book clubs in our service area. Please contact us for more information.
Library provides desktop computers for public use with a library card or guest pass. Free WiFi is available for anyone with their own device. All users will acknowledge an internet use agreement.
Black and white and color printing for $0.10 a page.
Color and Black & White copies cost $0.10 a page.
Faxing is available at the Circulation Desk. Effective August 1st, 2017, Charges for sending a fax at the Library will be $1.00 to send up to 10 pages, with additional pages costing $0.25 each.
Interlibrary Loan is a service through which books not owned by the Mooresville Public Library may be obtained from another library. Request an item.
If the library does not own an item, you may request that we purchase a copy. You may submit a suggestion for purchase by filling out a Purchase Request Form in person or online.
Study rooms are available on a first come, first served basis for a two-hour period.
Test proctoring is available for patrons who make arrangements at least 48 hours in advance. Use the online application to contact the Reference Department about scheduling an exam. Please note that any exam scheduled as of August 1, 2018 and on will now be charged a $10 proctoring fee per exam (If you have more than 3 exams per class, you will only pay a maximum of $30 per class, per semester.) The proctoring fee will go onto your library account as a test proctoring fee on or near the day of your exam, please pay at the circulation desk prior to your exam. If you need a library card because you are not a resident of Iredell County, you will be able to pay the fee ($20) at that time as well.
